Hi! Thanks for checking out my site. Here’s a little bit more about me!
At 12 years old, I called into a radio advertisement that asked, “do you think you have what it takes to be the next Hannah Montana?”. Turns out, the phone number was not a direct line to Disney, like my pre-teen self thought, but rather an invitation to drive into Philadelphia and audition for a talent competition.
Here lies the problem, at 12, I can’t legally operate a vehicle, so now I needed to convince my parents… like any teen girl with a laptop, I whipped up a PowerPoint presentation and BOOM Philly here we come!
After what would be my very first cattle call, I made it through the audition and was invited to a nationwide talent competition in Disney World! I’ve never been to Disney world – so imagine my excitement!
Well, after four long days of performing monologues, commercial scripts, commercial photo-shoots and a fashion show… I’ve still never been to Disney world unless the hotel banquet room counts. Instead, I had the chance to meet with 21 agents and talent managers from New York to LA!
That phone call I made from my Pantech flip phone changed my life. So yes, I do think I have what it takes to be the next Hannah Montana.
